We are trying to provide the highest quality community experience for all of our members and following these guidelines is the best way to maintain a quality environment for all age groups, especially the young people. If we find that you break any of these rules, your account may be disabled and your posting privileges may be removed. These rules are very basic and we hope that you read them fully. Thank you for your time! § A General Forum Rules 1. No Pornographic Material. Any sexually oriented imagery or links to such content will not be tolerated. Also watch your language. We do not tolerate sexually motivated discussions here! 2. No Copyright Violations. This includes but is not limited to linking to or discussing the illegal copying of software, movies or music. 3. No Cursing or Swear words. We encourage you to use our community as a forum to debate topics, but please use proper adjectives to express yourself. We will not tolerate abuse upon another member. 4. No Attacks / Retaliation of any kind against a member, or group of members. 5. If you are a long standing member, act like one. Lead by example and assist other newer members rather than attacking them. We look upon our veteran members to use this opportunity to teach the newer members the appropriate way to get the best community experience. 6. Posts in a particular forum need to stay on topic. If you want to talk about something that is drastically removed from the topic of a forum, please take it to General or other appropriate Forums. These forums were set up and designed for members to discuss issues not related to a specific topic. We welcome most general conversation in the General Forums, but discourage it from topic specific forums. 7. Signature Pictures. Pictures in your signature are not allowed to keep the focus on posts and reduce page loading times. 8. No Avatar Abuse. These are a luxury and abuse of them will result in them being lost. Avatars are limited to a size of 100x100 pixels and 10 KiloBytes (KB). Animated avatars are allowed within the file size limit. 9. No Profile Pictures Abuse. Profile Pictures are limited to 200x200 pixels and 125 KiloBytes (KB). 10. No spamming. Spamming is characterized by the initiation of threads or posts that contribute nothing to a forum, be it off topic or on topic. Examples include: empty bodies, bodies with few words that have no relation to the current thread or discussion and those posts that state they are spam, either to annoy or increase a member's post count. This determination is made by the forum Moderator or Administrator and is not up for discussion! 11. Sandra Bullock Central reserves the right to change or alter these rules at any time and an Administrator's word is final. § B Detailed Posting Rules 1. Off Topic: Some forums allow Off Topic Discussions, others don't. If a thread or reply is created that goes outside of the scope of the forums direct topic a warning may be incurred and the thread will be moved to the appropriate forum or removed at all. 2. Double Posting: This is known as sequential replies, or posting two replies in a row. Please allow other users to reply before post again. There is an edit post function if you want to add something to your post. There is no exception to this rule and double posting is prevented automatically by the message board system. 3. Swearing: If you are found swearing on any of our forums you will be warned and/or banned if you do not comply with our rules. 4. Avatar / Signature Abuse: Please note that we do not allow sexual avatars, no images in signatures, or signatures that are longer than 500 characters. 5. Insubordination: Please note that the above rules cannot cover every topic that might present itself. If a forum official informs you to stop doing something we ask that you comply. 6. Spamming: Please note that a definition of spamming is hard to pin down and we leave this up to forum officials on a case by case basis. For general purposes it is any post that does not add any worth to the forum. It could also be obnoxious posts, or replies that have little intellectual worth, or even large quantities of Off Topic replies. 7. Trolling: Any series of posts from a user who is set on causing conflict or provoking other users. Again this is monitored on a case by case basis. 8. Caps: Do not post in CAPITAL LETTERS only. This is very annoying and defaces the post. § C This is absolutely forbidden on the forums!!! No exceptions made and violation results in permanent ban! 1. Advertising: Advertising any service that is for profit or detracts from general forum social life. 2. Private Messaging Abuse: Threatening, Spamming, otherwise offensive use of our PM service. 3. Flaming: Excessive aggression to other forum users. (Forum Dependant) 4. Racist Remarks: Offensive comments towards another Race. 5. Offensive Material: Any sexually oriented imagery, words or links to such content will not be tolerated. 6. Illegal Media References: Links, discussion, or related information to Warez or illegal media of any type. 7. Username Abuse: Sexual references, abusive language or otherwise offensive content in a username results in immediate termination of the account in question without prior notice! While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable. This forum system uses cookies to store information on your local computer. These cookies do not contain any of the information you have entered above; they serve only to improve your viewing pleasure. For example a cookie has to be stored when you want to store your user account and password on your computer so you don't need to login everytime you visit the Message Board. Do not store your password on public computer in a cybercafe or library for example. The e-mail address is used only for confirming your registration details and password (and for sending new passwords should you forget your current one). Other members will not be able to see your e-mail address unless you want them to (optionable in your profile), only the Forum Administrators and Moderators can see it. |
